Your Lambeth Labour team in Oval working with local councillors Diogo Costa, Claire Holland and Issa Issa.

Oval ward stretches from Wandsworth Road, Mawbey Brough Estate, Wyvil Estate and South Lambeth Road to the Oval Cricket Ground, encompassing the Ashmole, Bolney Meadow and South Lambeth Estates, as well as Clapham and Brixton Road.

First Saturday of each month from 10am to 12 noon. Except for August. At the Tate South Lambeth Library, 180 South Lambeth Road, London SW8 1QP.

Diogo Costa

Diogo Costa

Diogo Costa was born and raised in Lambeth to Portuguese migrants who arrived and settled in ‘Little Portugal’ in the 90s. Previously elected as the Lambeth Youth Mayor at the age of 16, and now working as a Software Engineer in the FinTech sector.


His biggest passion is to eliminate the inequalities which he faced and other communities still face to this date, most notably in Education. As well as being an advocate for digital infrastructure and modernisation and a lover of Lusitanic history.

Claire Holland

Claire Holland

Claire Holland has lived in Oval for
27 years, raising her family and
sending her children to local schools
here. A former chair of governors of
Ashmole Primary, Claire is a relentless
campaigner for our area, fighting to
get the best deal from developers.


Claire is a passionate advocate for
giving our young people the best
possible opportunities.

Issa Issa

Issa Issa

Issa is a dynamic community leader in
North Lambeth who arrived here as
a young Somali-British refugee. Issa
founded an Educational Foundation
in Oval, is a governor of the Wyvern
Federation and Ashmole Primary
School and works with young people at
risk.


Issa is passionate about enabling
everyone, particularly the most
disadvantaged, to thrive.

The Oval BLP (Branch Labour Party) meets on the second Tuesday of every month, at 7pm, currently remotely via Zoom.

CLP Meetings

The Vauxhall CLP (Constituency Labour Party) meets on the last Thursday of every month at 7:30pm, currently remotely via Zoom.
